In a word, Venice is simply fabulous. Of the three cities Amy and I visited in Italy, it was by far my favorite. The streets were mostly vacant due to the season and the weather, but I think they took on a truly unique character in the quiet, chilly mists. Amy and I spent only one day there, and it was a foggy and rainy one, but we were out the entire day making the most of our time (and getting lost). Because we didn’t have much time, we didn’t go into any of the many basilicas and museums, but there were plenty of narrow streets, fun bridges, and magical canals to keep us and our cameras very happy!

I’d love to return someday, maybe in the springtime, when the trees and planter boxes are in full bloom. What a fantastic place!!
